Our answer to your question

Your question :

Do I need any special vaccines in order to travel?

Our response :

For information on vaccinations and other preventive health measures for foreign travel, consult the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Travel Medicine Program http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/tmp-pmv/reason_raison4-eng.php. Before travelling to any destination, find out well in advance of your trip if you need any special vaccinations or preventive medications for such illnesses as yellow fever, typhoid, meningitis, Japanese encephalitis, hepatitis, and malaria. It is recommended that you consult your doctor or a travel medicine clinic at least 6 to 8 weeks prior to your scheduled departure from Canada. You may want to consult your pediatrician, family doctor or travel medicine clinic for your children as you may need to arrange an alternative or accelerated childhood immunization schedule for them as well.
